This is a full and detailed price list so that there are no hidden extras. It can be so much cheaper hiring a Hall rather than using a hotel or other venue that might have lower room hire charges could be so much more expensive on food and drinks.

Also bear in mind our venue can hold a party for up to 350 people. If you book both halls, you can seat up to 600 guests.

With the exception of Party Package A (the Pavilion at the Jubilee Ground) you may elect to pay a corkage fee of £3 per person and bring in your own drinks.

We shall provide you with a detailed quote once we know your requirements. You will also be given a written contract to sign for hall hire and other major events such as weddings. 

Party Package A

The Pavilon at the Jubilee Ground across the road from the College. Holds up to 120 people and costs just £750 to hire. Finger buffet catering service available - please ask for menus. If you wish a full meal service, you must use one of our nominated caterers. See list. You must use our on-site bar where we charge pub prices. You may not bring in your own drinks.

Party Package B

Both the Great Hall and the Refectory for eight hours. Recommended for large parties, Hindu and Muslim weddings and events. £5,000

Party Package C

Party or Reception only in the Great Hall: £3,150 - to cover an eight hour period. Additional time allowed free of charge for set up*. Includes cleaning charge.

Party Package D

Refectory: £3,300 - to cover an eight hour period. Additional time allowed free of charge for set up*. Includes cleaning charge.

Special packages

If you have any requirements not covered by the above, please discuss with us.

 * This is at our discretion and subject to availability but will be at least two hours. All packages include rooms for bridal party to prepare, meet with the Registrar (where applicable) and to change.

Key terms & conditions

A full list of our terms and conditions is available on request. Here are the key points:

 1. We are in a residential area so it is a condition of our licence that the bar and all music must stop by 11:00pm and that the venue must be cleared by 11:45pm.

2. Deliveries such as flowers and drinks for Saturday events must be made between 16:00 - 19:00 on the Friday evening. No deliveries can be received outside thise hours.

3. All food must be delivered on the day of the wedding. We are unable to store food overinght in our kitchens.

4. Access to the Hall for decoration is only available on the day of the event. Hirers cannot have access to the Hall the evening before.

Additional charges

1. Catering: It is a condition of Hall/Venue hire that you use one of our six nominated caterers if you are planning to serve food. You will agree the menu and price with them and pay them direct. You may not provide your own catering. For information on our list of nominated caterers, please click here.

2. We provide a pay bar where we charge pub as opposed to hotel and restuarant prices. We also have a good wine list which is competitively priced. However, for a corkage fee of £2 per person, you can supply your own wine. Water can also be brought in for £1 per bottle. This service is NOT available at the Pavilion in the Jubilee Ground.

3. Decorating You can use up to 40 of our tables (rectangular) and up to 400 chairs free of charge as part of the package. if you want round tables and chair covers then we have special arrangements with Cameo and Hallmark - two local companies. Both companies also do linen and glass hire but you may get that included in the price from your caterers. You may also decorate the hall and tables to your own taste

4. Parking We can offer up to 110 on site car parking spaces (subject to availability). We charge £40 for the hour leading up to your wedding to have two members of staff on duty to park your guests safely on the site. The bridal party will park on the driveway in front of the main doors or in our under cover car park free of charge. We also have space to park a coach.

 5. If you need extra hours, these will be charged out at the special price of just £100.00 per hour IF REQUESTED AT THE TIME OF YOUR BOOKING. However, should your event OVER-RUN then the charge for that will be £270 an hour.
